Discussing and looking at nature , fomenting dialogues between art and science and seeking new alternatives for sustainable development are the main goals of  the Second International Conference Art and Nature . Art, as form of sensitive knowledge , can make men aware  of the possibilities and difficulties of our relationship with the environment . In currently techno-scientific context , art is related to science and both may contribute to thinking nature. In the second edition of the Conference , which will take place in April 2014 , we intend to broaden the approaches to the topic , inviting artists and experts from different countries like UK, U.S.A. , Germany, Colombia and Argentina, as well as professors and artists from several Brazilian universities , such as USP , UFRGS , UFSC , UNB , UFBA , UFPEL and UFPA . As side program there will be also two exhibitions , performances, one concert and an international video screening show. The seminar has the support of Provost's Office for Culture and Extramural Activities of the University of São Paulo and is organized by the School of Communications and Arts of the same university.
